**Coordinator Labour Relations Grievances**

**Corporate Services - Human Resources**

**Status: (1) Regular Full-time position**

**Salary Range: $71,698 to $89,624 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)**

**Hours of Work: 35 hours per week**

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Talent Management the Labour Relations Coordinator will review and support the team by organizing, scheduling, drafting, managing and maintaining all documentation related to collective agreement administration, including grievances, workplace investigations and the Labour Relations team.

**What you will do in this role**:

- Participate in grievances and arbitrations, attend labour management meetings as requested, and prepare draft documentation for various HR Team members
- Liaise with various individuals (including union leaders) to develop potential resolutions to workplace grievances
- Provide recommendations for mediations and arbitrations
- Organize, manage and maintain regular tracking of all grievances. Conduct analysis and provide reports as required
- Draft and facilitate execution of grievance memorandums of settlement
- Identify, analyze and communicate issues and concerns with applicable HR team members as appropriate, including the Supervisor of Labour Relations and the Labour Relations Consultant(s)
- Research and collect information/statistics to support the Labour Relations team regarding labour relations and employee relations matters, including collective bargaining

**What the role requires**:

- University degree in human resources or industrial relations with two years related experience working in a unionized setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a proactive disposition and a growth mindset throughout
- Knowledge of relevant employment and labour legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code (Ontario) and the Ontario Labour Relations Act;
- Familiarity and experience with the grievance and arbitration processes and the industrial relations environment generally

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent scheduling and time management skills
- Excellent file and documentation management, organization, maintenance, and archiving skills
- Extensive written and verbal communication skills

**Nice to have**:

- Experience working with CUPE in a municipal environment is an asset

**Work Mode & Job Location**:In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the **7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga** worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.

**Hours of Work**: 35 hours per week. The Region of Peel offers job based flexible hours of work that allows employees to manage personal and professional responsibilities while at the same time ensures business operational needs and customer service expectations are achieved.
