Government Move Coordinator Temp

The Government Move Coordinator Temp is responsible for coordinating all cross-border moves. They will educate customer and driver on border requirements (documentation, timing, and entry information; and track the progress of all moves.
This will be a 14 month contract position. The schedule is hybrid in office and work from home.

**Duties**:

- Coordinate all cross-border moves
- Request authorizations for agents and operations
- Answer enquiries from shippers, agents, drivers and van line staff with regards to the Government Tariff and policies
- Manage and update move information in US and Canadian systems
- Track the progress of all cross-border moves (Move Management)
- Produce required moving documents
- Educate customer and driver on border requirements (documentation, timing and entry information)
- Enforce and monitor government rules and regulations
- Update government warehouse information and complete inspection requests
- Cover / Support other regions when requested by management (i.e.: Domestic Government Coordinator)
- Other duties as required by management

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in an operations department is desirable along with strong administrational, attention to detail and analytical skills
- Secondary education preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail with a pleasant phone manner and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Efficient and accurate understanding of data and policies in a very high paced demanding environment
- Highly motivated and self-driven with excellent team work skills
- Bilingual is an asset
- Very reliable and punctual

- Willing and available to work additional hours including weekends where required
- Be available to work each day of the peak season (May 1st - August 31)
- Adept at handling multiple customers, tasks and issues in a professional manner showing a consistent sense of urgency.
- Possesses strong detail orientation. Possesses strong initiative and ability to obtain strong process knowledge.
- Maintains a neat, organized work area and uses appropriate time management tools. Proactively reviews workload for appropriate prioritization.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes with little resistance. Maintains effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people.
- Dependable, reliable. Ability to create and maintain positive work relationships and is team orientated.
