**Position Description**:
As the Volunteer Coordinator on the Volunteer Resources (VR) Team, you will work collaboratively to support departments across the organization with their volunteer needs through oversight and day-to-day management of the Child Life and Team Lead Volunteer Programs. You will also lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the Volunteer Recognition and Reward Program. **Here¿s What You¿ll Get To Do**:

- Child Life Volunteer Program
- o Partner with the Child Life department at SickKids regarding volunteer needs, requests, and program design; identify strategies to support needs that are aligned with the Hospital¿s values and strategic plans- o Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process of volunteers, including reviewing job postings, interviews, and delivering orientation- o Manage volunteer relationships throughout their terms, including monitoring volunteer performance and addressing behavioural and performance issues in partnership with volunteer Supervisors- o Seek out opportunities for program growth and development, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the volunteer experience- o Develop and track KPIs to measure program success and identify initiatives to improve KPIs as needed- o Provide policy recommendations and support the policy review process- Redesign and return the Volunteer Team Lead Program and develop an ongoing improvement and evaluation strategy for the program
- Develop, organize, and implement a Volunteer Reward & Recognition Program, leveraging input from volunteers and members of the Organizational Development team in HR
- Contribute to projects and initiatives to advance the Volunteer Resources function and provide cross-coverage to colleagues across other volunteer programs.
- Provide on-site support to volunteers; create a welcoming and friendly environment and address in-person issues/concerns

**Here's What You'll Need**

**Essential Requirements**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Volunteer Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years' experience within Volunteer Administration or equivalent field
- Demonstrated experience with conflict resolution/issue management
- Confidence in public speaking/training large groups
- Excellent time management and organizational skills working in a fast-paced environment with multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions
- Effective listening skills complemented by an ability to provide clear, useful feedback and coaching to staff and volunteers
- High level of sound judgment, confidentiality, problem solving, diplomacy and relationship building skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with people at all levels of the organization
- Proficient Office365 skills and knowledge (SharePoint; MS Forms, Excel)

**Assets**
- Certification in Volunteer Administrative (CVA) or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience using VSysOne Software/PeopleSoft or familiarity with HRIS systems
