**Field Sales Representative**
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Field Sales Representative to join our team at Diversified Transportation. In this role, you will focus on identifying new and existing market opportunities, owning the sales process, and working directly with both new and existing clients.
**Work Shift**: Monday through Friday, occasional evenings and weekends, flexible scheduling with required travel within designated territory.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Identifies market opportunities by qualifying potential accounts/leads.
- Initiates the sales process by scheduling meetings, delivering presentations, and understanding client needs.
- Closes deals by building relationships, explaining product and service offerings, addressing objections, and preparing contracts.
- Provides insights for market strategy by tracking competitor products and gathering client feedback.
- Recommends new products and services based on current product performance and identified client needs.
- Enhances job knowledge by engaging in ongoing educational opportunities.
- Supports marketing and organizational goals by achieving related objectives as needed.
**Qualifications & Skills Required**:
- Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in sales, business development, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or related industries.
- Sales Process & CRM Expertise: Strong understanding of sales cycles, customer relationship management (CRM).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present information and engage clients.
- Negotiation & Closing Skills: Ability to negotiate terms, address client objections, and close sales effectively.
- Relationship Building: Skilled in building rapport, establishing trust, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
- Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets with a high level of initiative.
- Team Player: Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License: Clean driver’s abstract and reliable transportation are required for client visits and travel as required throughout designated territory.
**Years of Experience**:
- Minimum 2 years in a similar or related sales position
**Education Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (such as a diploma or degree is preferred or relevant experience.)
- Certifications in sales or customer relationship management (e.g., Certified Sales Professional [CSP], CRM certifications) are a considered an asset.
