**Vice President, Retail Distribution**

- Based in Toronto and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Retail, you will lead the Distribution team in the maximization of sales, retention and profitability in the Retail market. You will play an integral role in the definition, implementation and evolution of a strategic account management program. As a highly experienced change leader and motivator, you bring superior knowledge and understanding of the insurance market and a proven ability to lead a team in uncovering new business opportunities and exceeding team results.- As a member of the Retail Executive Team, you will be a key contributor in defining the vision and strategic direction for the Retail business. You will also help to enhance our high-performance culture and business strategy focused on partnerships, exceptional service and innovation.**What you’ll be working on**:

- Lead and develop the team-
- Contribute to the direction, planning and execution of the Retail business.-
- Provide strong coaching and support to the sales leadership team and sales teams to meet sales objectives, strategic account management principles and strong business plans.-
- Motivate and empower teams to reach their development goals ensuring alignment with business strategy.Manage the business-
- Use a progressive sales vision to define and evolve strategic account management principles and resulting sales practices, processes and programs.-
- Build strong partnerships with leading and innovative distributors.-
- Lead ongoing collection of market intelligence to inform marketing strategy, product development and relevant projects.-
- Lead the planning, strategy and/or execution of distribution programs and key projects with internal partners and stakeholders.-
- Set the tone for sound market, compliance and risk management practices.-
- Maximize performance to achieve sales, retention and expense management results.Build and manage accounts Establish and maintain a sustainable contact regimen with key decision makers of the Distribution Partners to enhance partnerships and gain market intelligence.**What you’ll need to have**:
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or similar with a MBA considered an asset.-
- Qualifications, designation and experience in sales leadership in the insurance and wealth business.-
- In-depth understanding of the insurance industry and related distribution channels, intermediaries and insurance and investment advisor networks.-
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance and wealth related products.-
- Superior motivational and tactical leadership skills and proven ability to lead through change.-
- Proven ability to build trust-based relationships at senior levels of organizations.**It would be nice for you to have**:
