**Summary**:
Under the supervision of the President of Topcon Canada Inc, the person will be Responsible for new corporate account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Promote and sell Clinical Diagnostic instruments such as OCTs, retinal cameras, topographers and refraction systems
- Develop an annual business plan in collaboration with the VP Finance & Operations that will be modified and/or updated on a quarterly basis. The plan will include clear, concise plans and strategies to meet annual quotas
- Responsible for effective territory planning and strong activity to achieve the maximum efficiency of time to prospect and cultivate new accounts, develop current accounts, obtain orders, and produce adequate sales volume to meet outlined sales goals
- Effectively communicate with sales management and various departments within Topcon (Operations, Customer Service, Product Service, Marketing, Finance, etc.) on competitive issues, territory issues, status of orders, etc
- Conduct routine instrument demonstrations daily and tailor presentations and materials for specific customer needs and requirements
- Maintain continuity with the customer as a source of information, problem solver, and educator.
- Maintain detailed high-quality up-to-date account profiles in our CRM (ongoing).
- Perform special projects or duties for individual enrichment, self-growth, and/or company benefit with the support of the Vice President Finance & Operations.
- Create and monitor targets for the national accounts.
- Build a trusting and professional relationship with KOL’s and key personnel within each assigned account.
- Account management and Clinical Sales Manager collaboration both regionally and nationally for assigned accounts.
- Follow up on complaints and queries on behalf of clients.
- Promote new services and products to clients in your department.
- Report to senior management on the status of your accounts.
- Take a leading role in presentations and proposals for national accounts.
- Monitor and identify market trends, competitors, and new sales leads.
**Requirements and Experience**:
- A post-secondary degree in technical science or business discipline is preferred.
- Past sales experience within physician offices and hospital space or Capital Equipment is preferred.
- Business to Business Sales experience that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and ethical business practices.
- C-level call points and demonstration of strategic selling skills strongly preferred.
- Evidence of top performance in prior sales roles.
- Strong presentation skills, business acumen, and leadership qualities..
- A solid grasp of sales metrics, performance measures, and technical indicators.
- A thorough aptitude for analysis and strategy.
- Decisive thinking and leadership abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and client-relations skills.
- Negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
- Dynamic and creative problem-solving abilities.
- A strong client-focused mindset.
- Bilingual (French and English).
**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**:
- Must be available for overnight travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional weekend and holiday trips.
- Work from your home office.
- Extensive travel by plane and automobile
- Physical: lifting and lowering boxes and instruments from one level to another (25-100 lbs).
- Standing: Occasional 8 hour or more time periods during trade show
