_My Bistro_, is a locally owned and innovative food and beverage company operating in Canada’s most important cultural institutions; the National Gallery of Canada, the Museum of History, Canadian War Museum and Museum of Nature. Our vision is to offer a fresh, healthy and delicious experience with excellent customer service. We are looking to hire a front of house manager for all 4 outlets.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 plus benefits.

Bilingual: French and English written and spoken essential

**JOB SUMMARY**: The Front of House manager is responsible for overseeing operations which include:

- Staff supervision; hiring, scheduling, training and management. Monitoring staff performance and providing feedback
- Collaborate with a variety of teams including kitchen staff, suppliers and executive management in order to achieve operational goals.
- Implement policies and protocols
- Ensuring correct cash drawer balances, management of deposits and ensuring cash drawer tills are maintained and up-to-date for service use
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures and proper handling of equipment
- Maintaining and ensuring top quality guest care and satisfaction. Service Excellence.
- Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, such as creating guest feedback systems and analyzing guest preferences

**INTERNAL GROUPS AND EVENTS**
- Review upcoming events that take place in My Bistro locations and breakout rooms within the properties
- Ability to manage service flow and timelines by following event orders
- Instruct the service team in standard operating procedures for large groups

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities.

**Ability to commute/relocate**:

- Gatineau, QC J8X 0M8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Management: 2 years minimum required.

**Work Location**:

- In person

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (preferred)
