**THE ROLE**
As part of a new defined benefit pension fund that launched July 2021, the Talent Acquisition team is in the early stages of their maturity, and we are seeking a very versatile Talent Acquisition professional to help us build and evolve the function.
In addition to recruitment delivery, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will also take lead evolving and delivering a best-in-class onboarding and orientation experience, along with the Early Talent Program, by partnering with our Talent Acquisition Specialist. You will also take a very active role in leading the implementation of a new HRIS system - Ceridian Dayforce.
**This is a fixed-term contract covering a maternity leave for a duration of ~12-15 months that includes the following Benefits and Pension**:

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:*
- Proactively work with hiring managers to review job descriptions and launch job postings
- Initiate recruitment strategies for each search and manage the execution of those strategies
- Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to support UPP’s ambitious equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation (EDIR) objectives
- Research recruitment trends, leverage analytics and prepare reports to provide useful data and advice to business leaders and maintain proactive approach to their recruitment needs
- Promote efficiency within the recruitment process by identifying areas to streamline
- Work closely with the Director, Talent Acquisition and across People team to achieve our talent acquisition strategy
- Lead execution and evolution of the design and build of the onboarding, orientation, and early talent recruitment programs
- Provide expert advice and counsel to the team on talent acquisition best practices, including use of tools, systems etc.
- Contribute to UPP’s reputation as a respectful employer, partner, and member of the financial sector
- Support the migration and implementation to Ceridian Dayforce
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Undergraduate degree in business, human resources, or a related field
- 5-7 years of progressive and proven success in strategic Talent Acquisition, including designing, building and execution of Talent Acquisition programs (Early Talent, Onboarding/Orientation), and recruitment delivery of early talent to senior leadership roles
- Recruitment delivery experience for searches in the financial services, insurance or pension sector is considered an asset
- Recruitment delivery experience for searches in Information Technology or Investments is considered an asset
- Experience developing and executing innovative EDIR recruitment strategies
- People leadership experience in corporate recruitment is considered an asset
- Experience using ATS or HRIS recruitment software tools, Ceridian Dayforce experience is considered an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, data analysis and reporting techniques
- Professional certification in recruitment or human resources is considered an asset (CHRL, CHRP)
