**Job Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Administrative and Clinical Assistant**:work closely with the owner to co-ordinate and optimize schedule (including meetings, cosmetic clinic, OR slates, and office schedule).
- **Staff Management**: Recruit, train, and supervise administrative and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to ensure high levels of team performance and patient service.
- **Patient Relations**: Ensure a welcoming and efficient environment for patients. Address concerns and feedback, and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction.
- **Scheduling and Coordination**: Oversee patient scheduling, appointment management, and the coordination of referrals. Ensure the office operates efficiently and patient flow is optimized.
- **Billing and Insurance**: Manage medical billing processes and insurance verifications. Work with billing staff to ensure accurate billing, coding, and collection of payments, while addressing any patient inquiries regarding bills.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure that the office adheres to all healthcare regulations, privacy laws (HIPAA), and safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation practices.
- **Financial Management**: Assist in budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation. Monitor office expenses and seek cost-effective solutions.
- **Office Operations**: Implement and maintain office procedures and policies to improve efficiency. Coordinate supply inventory and management to ensure the office runs smoothly.
- **Communication**: Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, and external vendors to support the office's operational needs. Maintain strong communication within the team and with patients.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; additional certification in medical office management is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a medical office setting (preferably ophthalmology), previous management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and insurance processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in office management software and Accuro electronic health record (EHR).
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
