Office Administration and Receptionist

DL’s Bins and Recycling, a privately-owned waste management company located in Victoria, BC, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception/Administration Clerk to join our team. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Reception/Administration Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all reception, customer service, and basic accounting administration tasks at DL’s are met. This includes but is not limited to: answering phones, posting payments, invoicing, reconciling accounts, and filing.
We are seeking someone who has a passion for customer service and office administration, and who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment. As a dynamic team member, the Reception/Administration Clerk will be responsible for supporting and executing administrative and accounts receivable functions within the company, ensuring effective delivery of services.

- Answer telephone calls pleasantly and efficiently, using a multi-line phone system.
- Provide administrative support for the team.
- Other duties as assigned. Accounts Receivable
- Prepare paperwork for invoicing.
- Reconcile customer accounts.
- Prepare and mail/disburse invoices to customers.
- File invoices.
- Post payments to customer accounts.
- Organize and file deposit receipts as invoices are paid.
- Prepare reports on delinquent accounts and customer payment profiles.
- Reconcile cash receipts and deposits.

- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills; pleasant and professional phone manner.
- Proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and streamline processes.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Comfortable learning new software.
- Ability to independently research information.
- Takes initiative and works to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and working in a busy environment and rapidly growing business.
- Energetic with a strong work ethic and commitment to integrity.
- **Education and Experience**_
- 3+ years of experience in a similar administrative or accounts receivable role.
- Post-secondary completion of office administration or accounting courses are preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with financial software programs; SAGE or QuickBooks preferred.
- Experience in the waste management industry or related industry is considered an asset.

**Salary**: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
