We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our growing team. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for performing analytical, technical and support work in the designing, planning, implementation, documentation, and administration of all software and network infrastructures. Additionally, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for helping with network projects, the day-to-day operational tasks such as proactive maintenance, management, monitoring performance, incident and problem management, security, and backup and recovery across the network infrastructure.
- Managing and configuring programs such as our CRM Bistrack, Dynamics GP, and Crystal Reports
- Working in SQL database, writing queries, creating, and editing reports as requested.
- Assisting with looking after Active Directory setup and clean up.
- Maintaining network security and access control.
- Creating and maintaining group policies.
- Helping the BSM with building security.
- Working with Microsoft Intune.
- Creating and managing an inventory of all equipment for the Matix group of companies.
- Helping maintain daily backups.
- Helping with innovation initiatives.
- Working on external projects in a case-by-case situation where we provide IT for clients.
- Keeping client documentation updated.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A College or University Degree preferred (or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience).
- 3-5 years of direct experience in an IT support capacity.
- 3-5 years’ experience working with SQL Databases (including Bistrack), Crystal Reporting, Great Plains and PowerShell experience would be considered an asset.
- The ability to analyze issues quickly and to determine the best course of action using available resources.
- The ability to use sound judgement to escalate issues to the direct manager.
- A willingness to participate in ongoing training as required as well as the demonstrated ability to research new technologies.
- Knowledge of IT management software tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to train others as required.
- A strong customer service mindset.
- A team player mindset with the ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing workplace.
- Excellent written, oral, and listening communication skills.
- The ability to communicate IT-related matters in user-friendly language.
- Knowledge of and competency with setting up computer workstations.
- Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills.
