**About you**

You are someone based in Ottawa with 3 years of experience in corporate travel and event coordination and have a degree or college diploma in business, travel & hospitality, or equivalent. Your experience within the travel and hotels industry will be a strong asset. You are someone with great organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills. Have negotiation and decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and to identify the best choice to serve a specified goal. You are flexible and comfortable to receive occasional phone calls outside work hours in case of travel emergencies and coordinate with multiple stakeholders globally. Fluency in English is required. Your French language skills will be considered an asset.

**About the role**

You will be reporting to Finance Manager, the Travel & Event Coordinator will be responsible for all travel and event management of Nutrition International staff in HQ. Documentation of visas process, ticketing, security, accommodation, planning and executing events; venue, meals, logistics. You will be required to liaison between HQ office staff and the travel service providers to coordinate suitable travel itineraries in line with Nutrition International policies, processes, and corporate needs. In collaboration with the Procurement Team, reviews the services rendered by the travel service provider to make sure services offered meet Nutrition International’s requirements (cost, availability, proactive engagement in emergency situations, etc.) In addition, you will be following up with budgets, allowances, assisting in reconciliation of accounts and, reporting and maintaining cost and expenses related to travel and events.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for all travel for NI staff and visitors.
- Manage all flight tickets, hotel bookings, rental vehicles and other travel requirements including visa and travel restrictions and security for NI team.
- Manage and coordinate corporate events including venue, meal and logistic etc.
- Serve as a general resource and first point of contact for travel and event related issues or concerns.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring methods for events for future improvements and create cost reports.
- Maintain and update database for travel visas, allowances, incidentals, and safety and security components.
