At Victoria Law Courts we are a dedicated and collaborative team responsible for managing both Provincial and Supreme Court matters in British Columbia. Our team of just over 50 people, including Court/Registry Clerks, Registry Technicians, Justices of the Peace, Deputy District Registrars, Supervisors and Managers, plays a critical role in ensuring access to justice through a strong partnership with the judiciary and other justice partners. We value teamwork, diversity, and the unique contributions of each member in supporting a fair and effective court system for the community.

**The Role**
As the Court Clerk Supervisor, you will oversee technical, administrative, financial, and court recording services for Provincial and Supreme Court matters. This position is one of two Court Clerk Supervisors, who collectively support a team of 12-15 people. You will manage daily operations, performance expectations, leave coordination, and staff training. Working closely with the Manager, Court Administration, and the leadership team in Victoria, you’ll ensure smooth court operations and effective integration with the registry while supporting access to justice for the community.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent, preferably supplemented by courses in business and/or public administration.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ recent (within the last five (5) years) administrative experience and/or customer service experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year recent (within the last five (5) years) experience as a Court Clerk at the Supreme and/or Provincial Court level.
- Minimum of one (1) year recent (within the last five (5) years) experience or education in court/legal administration.

Different combinations of relevant experience, education and/or training may result in an applicant meeting these qualifications.
- Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

- Experience working with the Court Clerk Desktop (CCD).
- Two (2) or more years’ recent experience as a Court Clerk.
- Experience working with the Justice Information System (JUSTIN) and/or the Civil Electronic System (CEIS).
- Recent supervisory experience.
- Experience as a Provincial Instructor.
- Provisos /Willingness statements
- May be required to work overtime due to early or late court sittings.
- May be required to work in other areas of Court Services and may be required to travel.
