The Tax Appeals and Litigation Branch (TALB) is a professional and collaborative team dedicated to providing impartial reviews of tax assessments and refund appeals under provincial taxation statutes. TALB values diverse perspectives and fosters an inclusive environment, working with a wide range of taxpayers, from individuals to multinational corporations. This established team contributes to meaningful work that ensures fairness, transparency, and equity in the appeals process, while collaborating closely with experts in law, accounting, and public service.

**The Role**

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- University degree and at least two (2) years’ experience working in a legal, business, policy and/or legislative environment. Alternatively, a diploma and at least five (5) years’ experience working in a legal, business, policy and/or legislative environment.
- Experience researching and interpreting legislation.
- Experience analyzing factual, legal, or business issues.
- Experience providing customer service directly to members of the public.
- Post-secondary course work in law, business, social sciences or a related field.
- Experience in public oriented roles administering and/or interpreting a regulatory regime.
- Tax administration experience.
