**Career Opportunity**:

- You will be responsible for ensuring that capital project documentation reviewed by the Transportation & Vehicles Group, along with third party design submissions, comply with project scope and operability standards and policies of the Transportation & Vehicles Group by conducting the review of submissions. This involves ensuring that an appropriate level of technical review is carried out to address Transportation & Vehicles Group requirements in the areas of safety, operability, customer experience and the identification of project change impacts.**What You Will Do**:
- Conducting, coordinating and documenting the technical review of capital project documentation.
- Analyzing capital project documents for completeness; adherence to project scope, safety, and operability and customer service requirements; as well as for conformance with Transportation & Vehicles Group, standards, policies and rules.
- Co-coordinating a Transportation & Vehicles Group wide review of the project documents by defining stakeholders and expediting their timely review comments.
- Compiling, analyzing and coordinating the alignment of Transportation & Vehicles Group comments for inconsistencies, conflicts, change impacts across departments, and against past design review comment databases for similar issues.
- Coordinating and supporting the identification and remediation of change impacts triggered by capital projects to business processes, systems, policies, procedures, work instruction and rules.
- Evaluating design schedules for all projects to forecast design review conflicts, recommending design schedule adjustments to minimize resource shortages, and recommending schedule changes to ensure appropriate design review time.
- Preparing monthly updates on review performance against established annual departmental objectives.

**What Qualifications Do You Bring?**:

- A College Diploma in a related discipline, Architectural or Engineering Technology combined with several years of current, progressive related experience or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical design disciplines and their interrelationships, especially as related to a transit environment, combined with sound knowledge of construction methods, engineering design office practices and technical records management procedures.
- Detailed knowledge of Bentley Microstation CADD software which is normally obtained from several years of drafting experience.
- Good technical knowledge in the area of technical specification writing, tendering process, construction contract documents.
- Good knowledge of construction practices; their applicable codes, standards, regulations and the project management environment.
- Strong service orientation, sound judgement, excellent organizational and methodical and problem solving skills, familiarity with research methods and techniques.
- Sound judgement; administrative and management skills; excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including ability to design and develop database systems.
