- Reporting to the Director - Technical Support, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, directing and overseeing activities of Technical Review Section. The position is responsible for Technical Design Review which includes ensuring the technical adequacy, quality control and timely issuance of technical reviews for Engineering, Construction & Expansion (ECE) Group capital project designs, Metrolinx reviews and Design Standard Variance Requests (DSVR), Developer reviews and other assignments. In addition, you will provide development review by managing the technical review of 3rd Party, non-TTC facility and infrastructure projects (Developments) connecting to or within 60m of TTC infrastructure. Lastly, you will be responsible for Stakeholders Relationship Management and Review Routing System management by managing the Metrolinx Subway Expansion and LRT projects reviews and maintaining relationships as per existing agreements and TTC Design Standards for technical reviews within the Commission with respect to impacts to TTC infrastructure, systems and operations; ensuring the technical adequacy, quality control and timely issuance/completion of technical reviews for Metrolinx Subway and LRT design submissions issued to TTC stakeholders; and ensuring design standards and operational requirements are met; managing the technical review process through the web-based Review Routing System for reviewing and commenting on technical submissions by staff throughout the TTC and supporting the coordination of construction phase design change and construction submittal reviews to TTC stakeholders.**What Skills Do You Bring?**:

- Proven ability to provide technical direction to staff, and work effectively in a matrix environment.
- Sound judgement; well developed management, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills; excellent interpersonal, presentation and oral and written communication.

**What Qualifications Do You Bring?**:

- University Degree in Architecture or Engineering or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience in the design of transit related facilities, structures and equipment.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or Licensed Architect in the Province of Ontario is mandatory.
- Registration as a Project Manager Professional is an asset
- Previous demonstrated experience managing workforce is mandatory
