PHASOR Engineering Inc.

is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in the engineering and design of overhead & underground transmission/distribution systems, substations, fibre optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations.

Our expertise allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated
Design Coordinator to join our Toronto engineering team.

We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be fully involved in all aspects of the engineering and design process.


Responsibilities:

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creating a project folder at the beginning of each job and tracking and monitoring all stages project documentation for successful and timely design closeout submission
  • Green Construction Folder Creation.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials and estimates for UG/OH and civil projects.
  • Coordinate with the City of Toronto prior to commencing a project; to present scope of work with an official from the City of Toronto, to obtain all necessary permits.
  • Interact with internal / external contacts as necessary for design details.
  • Prepare and/or review construction packages, including all required drawings, work instructions, planning documentation, operating systems, and regulatory approvals, where required.
  • Provide procurement support, material takeoffs, requisitions, and technical evaluations.
  • Aid in the preparation of design packages for client reviews and construction.
  • Completes assigned work while adapting to changing volumes and pace of work.
  • Cooperative with supervisors and reports and interacts collaboratively and effectively with others.
  • General knowledge of overhead and underground utility design
  • Support project coordination documentation and activities.
  • Completes work in a timely and efficient manner, be able to work well independently with little supervision and attends work punctually.
  • Assemble and verify bills of materials and cost estimate (being familiar with SAP is an asset)

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 4year program for Administrative Assistant, Business Administration or Engineering discipline required.
  • A minimum of three (2) years of experience as a Coordinator in a construction environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work well in a fastpaced environment.
  • Selfmotivated, selfsufficient, discreet, and good sense of team spirit
