Design Administrator

SDI is a fast-growing design studio who works with their clients to design highly functional and beautiful spaces. Our services include architecture and interior design, project coordination and branding.
The Contract Administrator will support a team of Designers, Project Coordinators and Project Managers in planning and managing small to large ($1-15M) sized projects. He/she will help service our clients for the entire life cycle of the project from initiation to complete closure.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Support the Design and Project Management teams in planning, organizing, implementing and controlling all projects from initiation to project closure
- Prepare documentation including budgets updates, schedules and meeting minutes
- Assist in overseeing and managing project activities to ensure projects are completed in accordance to the client's expectations and maintain ongoing communication with clients
- Attend client meetings as required
- Manage and coordinate team calendars/schedules and communication
- Assist in managing aspects of move coordination
- Complete vendor procurement for, but not limited to, Designers, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Movers and Furniture Suppliers
- Complete project close-out activities related to quality management, customer service and financial close out of the projects
- Provide the highest level of client service
**GENERAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Travel may be required, must have a valid driver’s license
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- College Diploma and/or University Degree (Design and Architecture Preferrable)
- Experience in Project Coordination is considered an asset
- Knowledge of the construction process and ability to review drawings/specifications
- Knowledge of commercial project and move management processes and tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service/client relations skills
- Motivated, high energy, strong interpersonal skills
- Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong business acumen
