**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Based at the Macassa Mine Site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Human Resources Manager** **to join our Human Resources team.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle. Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains one of the highest gold grade mines in the world. Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years. The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport. High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine.

The **Human Resources Manager** is responsible for providing HR leadership and support to the mine site. Through understanding annual business goals and strategic plans they will be expected to help anticipate, plan for and implement solutions that maximize support to Agnico Eagle. The incumbent is accountable for providing professional, strategic and hands on operational support to enable the company to attract, manage, develop and retain employees.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure the human resources services are efficiently and effectively delivered.
- Maintain and provide advice to management team on human resource issues and systems.
- Work closely with the Site Manager on development and performance management of leadership team.
- Responsible for participating and/or leading specific corporate HR initiatives as required.
- Management of training and development opportunities for personnel.
- Accountable for recruitment and selection process ensuring standard processes are adhered to.
- Ensure compliance with Provincial and National legislative requirements.
- Ensure reporting requirements are met on time with correct, accurate information and maintain accurate records to ensure statutory compliance.
- Ensure site practices are in line with established company policies.
- Ensure HR Policies are maintained and communicated to internal customers.
- Audit compliance with all HR systems, policies and procedures and make improvement recommendations, ensuring implementation and monitoring of corrective action.
- Ensure monthly reporting and recording requirements are maintained accurately and on time and that communication channels for relaying information to appropriate personnel are maintained and improved wherever necesary.
- Conduct investigations and oversee management of personnel records.
- Provide and ensure effective leadership, performance management, career development and succession planning of department personnel.
- Manage Human Resources budget

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Qualifications in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or an associated field
- CHRP/CHRL designation preferred
- Relevant experience - mining or similar industrial organization
- HRIS knowledge eg SAP or associated SQL data base
- 8 - 10 years experience in General Human Resource Functions
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to and work effectively in a team
- Provides current, complete and positive feedback to others in a prompt and efficient manner
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Sound methods and approaches to persuade, convince or influence others
- Ability to pass on skills and experience to others.
- Project Management abilities
