This position is located at 1428 Lansdowne St. W in Peterborough, ON. This full-time position will be from 12:00pm - 6:00pm Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays from 8:00am - 3:00pm. This is an exceptional opportunity to utilize your customer service skills while working with all departments in the dealership. This unique opportunity offers an overview of the dealership as you will interface cross-functionally. This position will eventually transition into a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm role upon the incumbent’s retirement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Switchboard Operator: Places, receives & routes a high volume of calls through a multi-line switchboard, while supplying information to callers, relaying messages & announcing visitors to internal staff.
- Front desk Coordinator: serves as the first impression of the dealership & front lines the main desk at point of entry for greeting & directing all visitors, including vendors, clients & customers.
- Maintain the appearance of the reception desk; cleanliness & organization of documents & files is mandatory.
- File Clerk: Performs basic clerical tasks such as arranging invoices & other indexed documents, cash receipt book revisions while maintaining all payments by credit / debit cards. Balance and post daily cash sheets.
- CDK experience a definite asset. Data entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable experience also an asset.
- Greet customers and direct the to the appropriate department
- Work independently or as part of a team as required
- Create/Maintain reports as needed
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail and parcel deliveries
- General office duties (filing, copying, scanning, printing, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2 years working experience
- Post-Secondary education is an asset
- Customer service experience
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized
- Strong computer skills including MS Office
- Ability to work shifts outside regular office hours including weekends
- A friendly and positive demeanour
