**Working as the Manager, Curriculum**

Reporting to the Academic Department Manager, the Manager, Curriculum, oversees and contributes to the planning, design, implementation, and management of the academic program curricula for the School of Dentistry's credit and non-credit programs.

This position works closely with and is responsible to the educational leadership comprising the Associate Chair (Academic), Associate Chair (DDS Clinical Education), Associate Chair (Dental Hygiene), Senior Director (Graduate Studies), Graduate Program Directors, Director (Dental Assisting), Director (GAP Training Program) and Senior Director (Innovation and Quality Improvement). The incumbent ensures the integrity of the overall curricula is managed in accordance with the established framework, process, policies and procedures.

The Manager, Curriculum demonstrates exceptional leadership, team-building, and strategic planning skills. These skills are important as this role is responsible for collaborating with a large number of diverse multidisciplinary stakeholders. **Duties**

Works with the following major standing committees & their subcommittees, including the Dentistry (DDS) Curriculum Committee, Dental Hygiene (DH) Curriculum Committee, Dental Assisting (DA) Curriculum Committee, Graduate Studies Committee, PDGE Committee, as well as working groups and ad hoc committees.

**Curriculum Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation**

Oversees curriculum-related coordination and supports. This includes but is not limited to:

- Curriculum Development and Oversight
- Participates in and provides advice regarding the development and mapping of curriculum, ensuring it meets acceptable accreditation standards.
- Use instructional design methods to create and align course and program-based learning outcomes, activities, and assessments.
- Oversees course outlines for adherence to University regulations ensuring they are pedagogically sound and meeting curricular needs.
- Directs and conducts needs assessments and course/program evaluations to design and implement curriculum, informing quality assurance.

Curriculum and Learning Management Systems
- Coordinates CMS & LMS delivery systems ensuring support of faculty teaching activities in the delivery of curriculum.
- Engages with CMS and LMS providers to ensure that consultation, training, and technical support is provided to the School.
- Leads technical support resources providing training, consultation, and resolving technical issues influenced by technology.

Faculty Resources, Development, and Engagement
- In consultation with Program Directors and Associate Chairs, design, implement, and evaluate faculty development curriculum.
- Engage with educational research units and best practices within teaching and learning.
- Conducts formal and informal needs assessments related to faculty development.
