MacEwan University seeks a full-time continuing Curriculum Planning Coordinator with our Faculty of Nursing. Reporting to the Associate Dean, you will be responsible for providing effective support for curriculum-related activities of the designated Faculty/School. This position is advisory in nature, providing curriculum-related analysis, advice, and support to the Associate Deans and Chairs of the Faculty/School regarding the development, revision, or deactivation of courses and/or programs of study, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures and ensuring appropriate workflow, timelines, and processes are met.

Key responsibilities include:

- Facilitating overall curriculum planning and development of the designated Faculty by providing centralized support and coordinating related activities.
- Supporting the Associate Dean and Chairs in planning and coordinating scheduled reviews and updating Programs of Study and Degree/Program Regulations for nursing programs.
- Working in collaboration with the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) to ensure the Faculty processes and practices comply with and complement institutional processes, rules, guidelines and practices.
- Working in collaboration with the Faculty/School Scheduler to inform of course and program changes so that changes are incorporated into scheduling activities as required and working in collaboration with Finance to inform of any program changes so they may assess related budgetary impacts or concerns.
- Developing a thorough understanding of the Faculty/School's programs, content areas, links to professional practice areas, requirements of accreditation bodies (as required), and the impact of short-term and long-term changes to the curriculum, file placement/practicum (as applicable) and the students.
- Supporting proposal development for new programming and comprehensive reviews of existing and proposed curricula by working with relevant stakeholders to collect and coordinate data, information, and other content.
- Serving as a resource to the Faculty in ensuring compliance with the Curriculum Policy, its related procedures, and other institutional and government/regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating accreditation activities and requirements (data collection, analysis, reporting, etc.) for relevant government and regulatory organizations.

- A minimum of three years of progressively responsible and diversified related experience; exposure to curriculum planning and coordination work is preferred.
- Direct experience in a post-secondary or related public sector environment is preferred, along with experience with nursing education programs.
