**UNENE Education Programs Manager**
The University Network of Excellence in Nuclear Engineering (UNENE) is growing, along with Canada’s clean energy sector, and we need an innovative collaborator with a good understanding of education and training to help drive the capacity and human resource-building programs that will support Canada’s clean, energy economy, as our Education Programs Manager.
UNENE is Canada’s not-for-profit partnership of nuclear universities and major nuclear sector organizations working together on capacity building, innovation and collaboration. We work through university research, education, and outreach to our stakeholders in the nuclear community and beyond. UNENE is building the talent of the future through education and programming to support a thriving community of young professionals.
The Education Programs Manager will be an enthusiastic, well-rounded individual who will contribute to our evolution as a collaborating centre for education, training and professional development. This full-time contract position will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of UNENE’s education program, including our M.Eng and Graduate Diploma in nuclear engineering and associated courses, and will support UNENE’s Education Program Director in the development of new E&T initiatives.
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the UNENE Education Program Director and collaborating with the UNENE team, including the UNENE Education Program Director and the Admin Assistant, the Education Programs Manager will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations for the UNENE graduate program and introductory courses, including contract definition, course delivery, compliance with university regulations, course evaluations, etc.
- Manage the development of new courses and the evolution of course delivery models.
- Manage liaison with member universities who contribute to the UNENE programs.
- Participate with the UNENE team in developing educational collaborations with universities and outreach to industry.
- Manage program administration, such as updating and developing working procedures and education handbooks, preparing proposals, and participating in and following up on education quality audits and reviews.
- Provide support to the UNENE Education Advisory Committee and its Subcommittee.
- Experience in dealing with academia, such as education program planning and university administration;
- Experience in the nuclear sector and substantial knowledge of nuclear technologies;
- Degree in engineering or science;
- Demonstrated strong management and communications skills;
- Self-starter, fast-learner approach to working, and ability to work from a range of locations (home, organization office, member offices, etc.); and
- Flexibility in dealing with a diverse array of stakeholders and program participants.
**Employment details**:
The position will be secured via a two-year contract with renewal for consideration by UNENE Board of Directors. UNENE has a home office located at McMaster University in Hamilton. The incumbent will work in a hybrid model, including from the UNENE office, working from home, and visiting UNENE institutions. Note pay range is based on applicants experience.

**Salary**: $110,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
