The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada, a national union representing some 70,000 professionals and scientists throughout Canada, requires a **bilingual Event Systems Officer** to join its National Office Corporate Services Team in Ottawa.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**

Under the functional supervision of the Team Lead, Operations and in collaboration with colleagues, the Event Systems Officers oversee all aspects of the event management system including usage, administration, security, development and data quality and are responsible for ensuring that the configuration and related support serves the Institute and members’ needs. The Event Systems Officers will also be involved in on-site event management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the liaison with the external software providers on system usage, feasibility, and product management to ensure it satisfies the Institute’s requirements.
- Ensure controlled process and work with the systems service provider in the delivery of new functionality including migration of changes across development, test and production instances in conjunction with the PIPSC IT team.
- Maintain system configuration to reflect PIPSC service providers and related policies.
- Collaborate with Institute departments to determine and prepare customized reports and dashboards as needed.
- Create and manage system-wide features such as users and roles, custom fields, data tags, security measures, and integration points.
- Manage security settings that provide user access to data, including user account provisioning.
- Provide guidance to vendors and IT staff on the design and implementation of integration points.
- Develop, implement and maintain an Institute-specific event system user guide, training, templates and configurations, including workflow, videos, documentation, and help sections.
- Manage events onsite as required to ensure success on the day of the event.

**How do I qualify?**
- Completed a related degree or diploma and an Events Management certification.
- Fluency (oral, reading, written) in both official languages **is required.**

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- Event management systems experience (Cvent, and Concur Travel would be an asset)
- Experience managing several concurrent corporate events and onsite event management
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google G-suite
- Familiarity with project management practices; strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- A creative and innovative thinker and planner

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week)
- Salary Range: $77,691 to $97,115 (G5)
