Reporting to the Manager, Curriculum Development in Corporate and Continuing Education, this position provides development, production, and administrative support to the department and its respective management teams in their efforts to design, develop, administer, and evaluate non-credit courses, micro-credentials, and programs effectively and efficiently. The main aspect of this position is to support curriculum development and the creation, review, and updates of learning assets including course outlines, course descriptions, learner workbooks, instructor guides, and online course sites.
Duties will involve working in consultation with Curriculum Development Leads (CDLs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), multimedia specialists, instructors, staff, curriculum committees, and NAIT management to assist in creating and updating learning resources and supporting instructors and staff. This position also requires working collaboratively with accreditation bodies (related to specific program/course areas), to ensure curriculum meets accreditation standards. This role requires the person to be proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS) as they will need to create new course resources on this platform. Understanding the requirements of Outcome-Based Education and Competency-Based Education and Assessment is required. Instructional design and eAuthoring experience are assets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work collaboratively with CDLs, SMEs, staff, external partners, curriculum committees, and NAIT management to develop, renew, maintain, and update all aspects of non-credit curriculum implementing academic procedures, adhering to principles of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and ensuring program/course quality and efficient production.
- Participate in comprehensive reviews of existing and proposed non-credit curriculum and update course resources to meet the academic, industry, NAIT, and audience requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy of project data in project management software, updating as required and communicating inaccuracies to CDLs.
- Write and edit course descriptions and course outlines per NAIT standards and participate in Academic Tools outline workflows.
- Assist with course and program mapping, needs assessments, course and program evaluations.
- Participate in working groups and on committees related to course maintenance, program sustainment, instructional excellence, quality management, credit/non-credit pathways, systems updates, and more.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
- Completion of grade twelve
- Related post-secondary certificate or diploma
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Education, Instructional Design, Distance Education, Adult Education, Educational Technology or other) is preferred
- 3 years’ related experience
- Previous experience in LMS administration, instructional design, or curriculum development preferred.
- Equivalencies may be considered
**Remuneration**:$47,543.86 - $61,528.48 annually,** **plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Administrative Support V).
- This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement._
