Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Construction Innovation and Development, as the Curriculum Developer, Construction Training you are responsible for collaborating and maintaining training to support the intentions in the Construction Procedural Standards team. You will foster positive relationships with business units and external related parties to champion changes and improvements in the training materials.

This is a 14 month leave replacement with possibility of extension to a permanent role.

 Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Preparing module-based strategy documents related to training programs. Participating, supporting, and adapting course materials to align with corporate objectives. Maintaining training program materials, monitoring, and reporting on outcomes and results of all participants enrolled in the training program modules. Liaising with business units and outside educators as required to expand training opportunities. Interfacing with external agencies and academic institutions for value-added outcomes and updated instruction techniques. Maintaining accurate training records and databases. Reviewing reports generated from systems on a regular basis to ensure system integrity and connectivity. Producing, preparing and distributing correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation including regional reports and summaries. Working closely with IT and business units regarding end-user reporting solutions to ensure accurate reporting services are provided.

Essential Requirements

Degree or Diploma in administration, or equivalent related experience. Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in residential construction. Well-rounded knowledge of effective teaching, facilitation and leadership methodology. Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).

Preferred Requirements

Previous experience supporting training teams is preferred.Previous experience with BuildPro, SupplyPro or any Learning Management Systems is a strong asset.A Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.
