- Team Leader, Medicare Programs**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Team Leader and working in a team environment, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing a variety of duties from multiple programs with varying degrees of eligibility and policy requirements.
Specifically, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to a provincial program team and the Nova Scotia Provincial Programs (NSPP) Leadership team.
This role is Monday to Friday daytime core business hours, 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hour work week
**Key Responsibilities**
- Point of contact for inquiries related to the physician audit appeal process.
- Closely track, monitor and document the physician audit appeal process, ensuring to meet strict one more intimelines associated with each step of the process.
- Coordinate meetings, including the coordination of participants, logístical arrangements, preparation of documentation, invoicing, etc.
- Responsible for all aspects of the MSI service verification letter process including follow up with physicians.
- Support internal billing audit activities as required.
- Provide administrative support to the NSPP team; inlcuding the preparation and writing of correspondence.
- Compile monthly, semi annual and yearly audit activity reports and maintain various excel tracking spreadsheets.
- Communicate with a range of stakeholders, including Physicians and NS residents through oral and written communication.
- Provide technical assistance for system, i.e. SharePoint.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other internal operational areas.
- General administrative duties including: updating documented procedures, mail, filing, scanning, etc.
**Required Qualifications**
- Highly effective listening skills to ascertain customer’s needs, and determine appropriate action required for solution.
- Excellent verbal skills for explaining complex issues.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills
**Education**: Post secondary training in business and/or administration with a minimum of three years relevant work experience. Medical Terminology an asset
**Work Experience**: Previous work experience in an office environment would is considered a valued asset
**Language Skills**: English (written & spoken), bilingualism would be considered an asset
