**Payroll Supervisor**
Assumes supervisory functions for Payroll, ensuring that financial management practices are fully aligned with current laws, regulations, professional accounting & audit standards and Price Industries Limited policies.
Directly supervise all Payroll functions.
Work effectively with all auditors, service providers and staff to resolve issues and provide exemplary customer service.
Responsible for training, supporting and developing direct reports.
Manage multi-province and global payrolls, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with all laws and regulations.
Manage the preparation of payroll and health benefit insurance.
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Ensure the processing of new hires, terminations, and other changes are completed timely and accurately
Maintain reports and distribute them to the management team.
Partner with HR to continuously streamline the payroll and benefits process.
Assist with annual budget process.
Assist with interim and year-end audits.
Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.
Certification in Canadian Payroll Association required.
Minimum of 5 years payroll experience.
Minimum of 3 years general accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, principally Excel worksheets.
Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable, strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to interact with employees in a professional manner.
Ability to build a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Demonstrated ability in management of automated payroll system, preferably ADP.
Strong quantitative & analytic skills.
Ability to evaluate/interpret information and make independent judgments.
