**Mondo Foods Co. Ltd.**

Mondo Foods is a premium distributor of quality food products and wine in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are looking for a General Accountant to join our team As the General Accountant, you will be responsible for:

- Posting month-end and year-end journal entries
- Preparing account and bank reconciliations
- Reconciling financial discrepancies Interco, A/R and A/P by collecting and analyzing account information
- Being the main point of contact anything Payroll related including vacation requests and information, Letters of Employment, and updating employee information
- Entering of new hires, wage adjustments, and terminations in the payroll system.
- Enrolling all eligible employees into the companies Group Insurance plan, keeping track of wage changes and updates, and handling all claims (No more than 3 per monyh)
- Preparing and processing hourly and salaried bi-weekly payrolls
- Ensure that payroll calculations, withholdings and deductions are carried out and recorded correctly. (Payworks).
- Creating and exporting necessary Payroll reports for compiling data
- Being the main contact for any HR- answering inquiries, clarifying and resolving problems related to payroll, benefits, taxation, and other compliance matters.
- Sales reports including commissions for certain employees
- Calculations of gratuities for employees once a month
- Submitting year-end reports regarding payroll including T4’s and T2200’s
- Handling all WCB including filling out forms and reaching out to employees and their supervisors for further information
- Creating company memos and updating company policies as requested by company owners.
- Assisting the Controller as required

**Qualifications**
- Bookkeeping/accounting experience (2 years)
- Positive and professional attitude
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- High level of attention to detail
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Payroll experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work in a multi company environment is considered an asset
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products, ERP systems, financial reporting, and analysis tools.
