Excellent written and spoken language skills, an eye for detail, efficient and accurate information management skills, and strong, basic computer proficiency are essential qualities for this position.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations & Communications Coordinator's primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Office Operations
- Ensures ongoing infrastructure requirements, including equipment, leases, supplies, etc.
- Assists in preparation of materials for board meetings, the Annual General meeting and designated committee meetings

Communications
- Frequently updating the AMPIA website (WordPress) with postings sharing the latest association, member and industry news, events, jobs and resources.
- Coordinating virtual and in-person professional development events, from a webinar series and annual Alberta Film & Television (Rosie) Awards.
- Engaging with the membership and media community via social media (primarily Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), promoting the Association, membership and industry.
- Communications research, copy writing, photo editing, and data entry are also within the scope of this position.

Logistics
- Assists in logístical arrangements for all AMPIA meetings, sessions and events, including facilities, equipment, materials, refreshments, registration processes, etc.
- Maintains good relations with all AMPIA partners and suppliers for such events, searching out new suppliers whenever necessary

Sponsor Relations
- Ensures all sponsor benefits are delivered in entirety and to satisfaction of the sponsors
- In consultation with the Executive Director, plays a lead role securing renewals and new partnerships with identified potential sponsors

Member Services & Benefits

Responsible for overseeing the support of the membership through the development of member services, including but not limited to the following:

- Manages annual membership renewal process.
- Seeks out and negotiates appropriate member benefits on an on-going basis, and prepares materials to inform members about these benefits

**Qualifications**
- A self-motivated and self-directing multi-tasker, who understands the importance of getting details right
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, keyboarding and technical skills in an MS Office environment, including Word, Excel and QuickBooks
- Excellent client service skills, ability to work effectively with external stakeholders and proven ability to work effectively with a team
- Post-secondary experience an asset

Salary commensurate with experience.
