Edmonton, Canada Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Full time

**Summary of duties**

Please be advised that a temporary (until the end of July) Summer Hospitality - BBQ Cart position is available with an initial work assignment in Edmonton within the Infrastructure and Facilities department.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 Diploma, or combination of education and experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Green Certified Training required.
- Current WHMIS and MSDS.
- Experience with various equipment as required.

**Experience**
- **Previous**: One (1) - two (2) years previous caretaker experience including utilizing various types of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- **On the Job**: Nine (9) months on the job to become familiar with facility security, cleaning practices, seasonal aspects of the job, and AUPE policies and procedures.

**Key activities**
- Responsible for the transportation of and safe operation of a large BBQ grill trailer at AUPE events throughout the summer.
- Operates grill in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for quick, accurate and safe food production process.
- Assists in the success of the event by ensuring member satisfaction through adhering to standards for quality, service and cleanliness.
- Communicates all significant issues, both positive and negative, with event coordinator.
- Position requires travel throughout Alberta and a non-standard work week. Overnight stays may be required in some locations
- Other duties may be assigned as required based on operational requirements.
