Front Desk Manager

We are an Indian restaurant and bar with a difference. We serve fine dining quality authentic Indian food in a casual upscale environment by using traditional recipes, ingredients and methods, we proudly create authentic Indian dishes.
On a typical day, you will arrive at their work location before the start of their shift. They meet with other restaurant staff before service begins to go over daily specials or menu changes. Throughout their shift, Waiter/Waitress take orders and process those orders for kitchen staff. They update diners on wait times for their meals

SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ Years of experience as a front house manager
- Proven work experience as a Server/Waiter
- Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS)
- Attentiveness and patience for customers
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Teamwork (because it makes the dream work
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: $15.50-$25.34 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- WHITBY, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
