**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a part of The Answer Company's Business Development Team, working closely with the Business Development Manager to execute lead generation initiatives. Overall, the BDR will be responsible for uncovering interest and passing qualified new business customer leads to the sales team. It is an excellent position in a fast-growing company, giving the opportunity to learn about business management software solutions and solution selling in a B2B environment.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Place outbound calls to prospects and existing customers to generate sales leads for sales executives;
- Identify decision makers and influencers within a prospect/customer organization;
- Have clear and correct opportunities uncovering conversations to identify prospects'/customers’ needs;
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, and industry trends;
- Communicate The Answer Company's value proposition effectively to prospects and clients;
- Prepare for and participate in regular meetings with Business Development Manager;
- Maintain CRM System and ensure information is accurate and up to date;
- Support Business Development Manager in related lead-generating initiatives including special projects, campaigns, tradeshows, etc.;
- Provide administrative support as required;
- Perform other duties as required;
- Engage in any educational learning opportunities that will support success in role.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Fluent in English;
- Proven ability to make 50+ outbound calls daily;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service;
- Background interfacing with Finance or Accounting is a plus;
- Proficiency using MS Office;
- lead nurture, and qualification skills;
- Ability to effectively build/maintain relationships;
- Strong personal skills, both with co-workers and networking with potential clients;
- Ability to utilize social media platforms to represent the company in the best light;
- Ability to use LinkedIn to engage with new prospects.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- High School Diploma and equivalent work experience required;
- Experience with a CRM system or client database;
- Experience prospecting and selling software solutions is a plus;
- Experience with Marketing Automation Software is a plus.
