**Human Resources Coordinator Full-Time**

At Lions Foundation Canada Dog Guides (LFCDG), we help people with medical or physical disabilities lead independent lives by providing them with a dog guide at no cost to support them in their daily lives.

The school is unique in offering seven programs serving 150-200 new clients annually and supporting over 1100 active clients.

**The Opportunity**:
This position supports and reports to the Director of Human Resources (HR) and will assist with all the administrative tasks in HR and payroll.

**Key Areas of Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the first point of contact for HR- and payroll-related queries from staff
- Support a broad range of administrative tasks related to recruitment, benefits administration, terminations, employee letters, records of employment, maintaining learning records for essential learning and other talent development programs
- Set up new employees in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) - ADP Workforce Now; update information for others as needed
- Responsible for HR administration, including staff records and employee files
- Perform daily payroll activities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll production of payroll processed twice a month
- Support all year-end payroll activities
- Respond to all payroll inquiries to explain pay, adjustments to pay, and impact of policies, tax law, and related changes
- Create strong relationships with all staff and people leaders to support their HR- and Payroll-related administrative requests effectively

**You will bring to the opportunity**:

- Minimum of one year experience working in an HR assistant and payroll assistant roles
- Highly skilled at using ADP Workforce Now for payroll and HR functions
- Strong skills in the use of MS Excel or another data manipulation tool
- Proven ability to be discrete and preserve requirements for privacy and confidentiality
- Highly organized to carry out the diverse responsibilities in this role
- A college diploma or University degree in Business Administration preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to build high levels of trust
- Comfortable and familiar with dogs
- Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s license and able to drive company vehicles, if and when needed

**Hours of work**: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM with one hour of unpaid lunch

**Salary**: $21.49/hr - $25.28/hr
