The Manager of Investigations leads and manages a multidisciplinary team of excluded staff in conducting confidential and impartial investigations under the Ombudsperson Act and/or the Public Interest Disclosure Act. Under the authority delegated by the Ombudsperson, and working as part of a management team, the Manager of Investigations exercises significant responsibility regarding the work of Ombudsperson Officers and other staff assigned to their team. Managers of Investigations are responsible for ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act, the Ombudsperson Act, established policy and the principles of administrative fairness and natural justice.

This posting is for multiple opportunities; two permanent, full time opportunities as Manager of Investigations, Public Interest Disclosure and one temporary full time opportunity as Manager of Investigations, Regulatory Programs. An eligibility list may be established to fill similar future vacancies in a full-time temporary or permanent capacity. Temporary positions may become full-time, permanent status. This position is excluded from union membership. Some travel is required.

Upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period, this position is eligible for 5% salary lift and a hybrid work arrangement with the option to work remotely one day per week, in accordance with the office’s Work Arrangements Policy.
