- Lead modernization of information management and records management for the OAG. Engage and coordinate with key parties to promote effective alignment between technology, records and information management, security, privacy and business areas concerning changes to existing or proposed initiatives, including systems, projects, programs, policies, plans or other activities involving corporate information.
- Analyze, create and lead the corporate records management program, privacy program, vital records program, and other information management related projects and initiatives consistent with the information management portfolio.
- Lead responses and policy development relating to requests for access to and correction of personal information.
- Liaise with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) in the event of an investigation or mediation.
- Provide corporate leadership, expertise and support on information access and privacy across departments and all levels of staff and management.
- Lead and/or participate in the investigation and response to information incidents, breaches, and complaints relating to the loss of, unauthorized access to, or disclosure of personal information.
- Prepare briefings, reports, research and analysis on access and privacy issues and trends as required; prepare reports for the IT Quarterly Report.
- Develop and lead office policy, standards, guidance and training regarding records and information management and freedom of information legislation. Examples include Records Policy, FOI Policy, Cloud Computing Policy, Privacy Policy, and the Information Security Classification Standard.
- Identify privacy-related risks for the corporate risk register, including recommended mitigation actions.
- Develop and enforce records management policies, procedures, standards, and strategies including:

- Develop, administer, and control the lifecycle management and disposition of all OAG records, including examining records for primary and residual values such as fiscal, audit, legal, evidential and informational values.
- Instruct and provide training and advice to staff on records classifications, retention requirements, and final dispositions for records; ensure correct documentation and records management procedures are followed.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of automated records management systems and conduct periodic compliance audits.
- Lead a broad range of IM/IT projects and initiatives, including coordination of OAG staff and external vendors and contract staff, not strictly related to the IM program and regular duties.

**Education and experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., law, archival science, library services, information management, public administration) and three years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Three years experience developing and implementing information management policies, processes, and systems.
