Edmonton, Canada NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) Full time

Reporting to the newly updated leadership Executive Director position in Student Experience portfolio, this position provides leadership to programs and services that support a campus environment consistent with the mandate and strategic priorities of NAIT. Of significance, is the need to create a campus environment that integrates and enhances aspects of the student experience, defined by a philosophy of holistic student success.

The Director will be responsible for developing innovative student experience programming to further enable students to succeed and reach their personal and academic goals. The portfolio includes Learning Services, Student Resolution Office, and Student Life.

As a member of the Students & Campus Life Leadership Team, this position contributes to the overall leadership of the Institute through participation in the development of the four-year operational plans, annual operating budgets, long term renovation and capital budgets, performance objectives, and regular review of actual performance in relation to plans.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Developing outcome-based student accommodation supports and education in a culture that is supportive of holistic student well-being and safety and inclusion; and facilitating considerations of diverse population needs and perspectives in all facets of the student experience.
Increasing presence and credibility of the portfolio supported by streamlined guidelines and procedures through establishing and maintaining Student Success as a key stakeholder in programming development and delivery.
Building capacity for flexible supports; and ensuring we are efficient - fostering innovative and high efficient teams.
Providing a healthy, safe and inclusive work environment that supports the expression of professional values, attitudes and behaviors; and supporting professional development opportunities to expand and develop skills and expertise of the department.
Leading, mentoring, coaching, and supporting the portfolio team
Financial and human resource management activities
Promoting effective use of technology in program delivery, including alternate delivery modes where possible

**Skills & Abilities**:
Knowledge of technical fields such as community development, human resources, counseling, educational theory, teaching and learning processes.
Knowledge of management and leadership theories and principles such as conflict resolution, team building, change management, performance management, strategic thinking and planning, service orientation.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree
Several years' experience leading a variety of student-service related work units in a post-secondary setting.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

**Remuneration**: $105,887.60 - $140,285.86 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
