**Bookkeeper/Office Administrator**
GSCI, an international electro-optical manufacturing company is looking for a dedicated, organized, and proactive individual to join our team. We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to maintain financial records in our ERP, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, and fulfill other office tasks.
Ultimately, the Bookkeeper/Office Administrator’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company and general office assistance as required.
2+ years of experience working within a small to medium sized organization is required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct general ledger account
- Bank statement reconciliation
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Processing international wire transfer payments accurately
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Provide support to the management and office staff as needed, including generation, distribution and collection of documents
- Assist with the transition in accounting systems
- Answering and distributing phone calls within the company
- Other accounting tasks as required
- Health and safety and human resources tasks
- Other administrative duties as required
- Assistance with logistics/inventory related tasks
**What you bring to the team**:
- Highly accurate and organized
- A problem solver with a positive attitude and excellent organizational skills
- Strong business acumen with an analytical yet common-sense approach
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and other office software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- ERP knowledge is an asset but not mandatory (Experience working with Epicor is an asset but training will be provided to the employee)
Hours of work:
Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm
Friday: 8am-3pm
