Legal Aid Alberta is seeking to fill a full-time permanent Human Resources Advisor position in our downtown Edmonton or Calgary office. This position will appeal to an individual that likes to take initiative, is client focused and is exceptionally strong in delivering high-quality results.

**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, some of the key responsibilities include:

- Provide recruitment services for designated roles including, developing job posting, manager engagement, pre-screening, interviewing and recommendations.
- Develop, implement, and analyze sourcing and recruitment key metrics, dashboards, and other reports to determine organizational trends, patterns and talent information that is critical to supporting effective business decision-making.
- Support implementation of employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Identify, develop, and implement improvements to existing onboarding processes for employees and managers.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and simplify HR processes to enhance employee and manager experience.
- Participate in research, development, and implementation of new or revised HR policies, programs, HR best practices and procedures for LAA.
- Support the HRBPs in the areas of performance management, employee relations and labour relations fundamentals to continuously gain exposure
- Performs other duties as assigned by the HR Manager and the Director of People and Culture
- Qualifications

**Education and Experience**:

- Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Business, Management, Human Resources or related discipline.
- 2-3 years of recruitment experience working with demonstrated understanding of HR data, HR policies, recruitment best practices, and talent retention tactics

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Strong knowledge in recruitment practices and talent retention initiatives
- Understanding of Employment Legislation, Human Rights Legislation, Employment Standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of modern and progressive HR practices and principles.
- Project management experience an asset
- Knowledge and experience with Dayforce or equivalent HRM’s
- Advanced computer literacy, including effective working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), SharePoint, Teams and Human Capital Management Systems
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence business leaders on effective talent acquisition practices
