_**Industrial Prevention Specialist (Temporary) **_- ProgressiveHealth, LLC - **Simcoe, Ontario**
The Industrial Prevention Specialist will provide injury prevention services onsite for a large major automobile manufacturer in Simcoe. We strive to increase the industrial athlete’s ability to perform their job duties safely and decrease the risk of injury through intervention at the early onset of discomfort in a dynamic work environment.
**We are looking for temporary coverage starting late November or early December to cover a staff member’s leave of absence. **Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative team
- **Full-time schedule**: Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm-2:00am
- **Pay rate**: $30 USD per hour ($41 CAD per hour)
- There is a possibility of continued employment after the temporary assignment is completed
- There are no benefits for the temporary opportunity but will be an option if transitioned until a full-time, permanent placement
**What will you be doing in this role?**
- Providing proactive injury prevention, injury care, and assessment as defined by OSHA standards, including ergonomic postural education and/or escalation of medical care if needed
- Providing ergonomic assessments and support by understanding the site operations, job processes, and physical demands in order to make ergonomic recommendations for the purposes of preventing more serious musculoskeletal conditions from occurring
- Assisting Safety Department, Medical Staff, and Production team to assess risks and determine ergonomic solutions, regarding countermeasures, process/element changes, body postures, and team member development.
- Keeping accurate, detailed documentation with efficiency while being able to provide feedback to the industrial athlete and client for continuous health improvements
- Providing health education to on-site teams, implementing wellness initiatives; including lunch and learns
- Educating and supporting production new hires
- Leading stretch and flex programs

- A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training
- The required provincial licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the provincial or the ability to obtain the required provincial licensure
- CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it before the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred
- The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
- Ergonomic and/or occupational health experience
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Be able to maintain confidentiality
