The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining refrigeration systems, particularly those utilizing ammonia as a refrigerant. Experience with TSSA regulations is essential, as the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with these standards.

In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines is crucial in this role.

Job Description
  • Operate and maintain all plant refrigeration systems, including ammonia compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Diagnose and repair complex equipment malfunctions, working closely with maintenance teams and engineers.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data analysis to optimize system performance.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, refrigeration technology).
  • Valid Refrigeration 'B' (or A) ticket from the TSSA.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration system operation and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
