Based on our continued growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Generalist (Bilingual) for Empowerists. We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our People & Culture team, who will report to the Director of People and Culture. While this position is 100% remote, we are looking to expand our team in Canada

As a member of Empowerists the HR Generalist is a key player in handling the day-to-day HR queries such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, global mobility, etc. The goal is to ensure the People & Culture’s operations are running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Conduct employee onboarding process for new hires and facilitating orientation sessions.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation.
- Resolve any HR-related issue that may arise.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Assist in the resolution of employee issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resource policies.
- Undertake tasks around performance management.
- Gather and analyse data with useful HR metrics such as employee turnover rates.
- Maintain employee files and records in the HRIS System
- Ensure compliance with labour regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of required reports and documentation.
- Maintain payroll processes, prepare employees’ compensation data.
- Administrate payroll-related policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Assist in talent acquisition or recruitment processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Arts or Science in Human Resources, Business administration or any other relevant field
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a related role
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

**Requirements and Skills**:

- 3-4 years of experience in HR Generalist role
- Must be fluent in English and French, written and spoken.
- Understanding of general Human Resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment and/or labor laws
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

**Assets (if applicable)**:

- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Certifications in HR
- Minimum experience in a HR Business Partner role
- Prior experience in a Recruiting capacity
