**JOB FUNCTIONS**:
Promote a culture of valuing our people by fostering a business partnership with all segments of MPW/PPS. Provide leadership and support for MPW/PPS' Canadian-based staff. Work to coordinate staff’s needs with corporate
- based payroll, benefits, and recruitment, across multiple divisions.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Enroll new hires in Effortless Admin (benefits program)
- Enter benefit deductions into ADP, and troubleshoot as required
- Update deduction rates in ADP annually, as required.
- Solving issues with benefits enrollment such as, missing information, signatures etc.
- Terminate employees in Effortless admin when appropriate
- Include corporate benefits staff on communications for new hires and terminations, for billing purposes.
- Be involved with the benefits broker, including annual renewals.
- Reconcile benefits invoices with current staffing to ensure, deductions are accurate, and employees are properly enrolled, billed, and covered (family vs. single vs. opt-out) and separated, from the benefits program.

Human Resources:

- Review, research, and advise on HR policy related to labor laws, consulting with Canadian legal firms, as required, and to align with MPW policy as much as possible.
- Manage the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for Canadian-based employees.
- Responsible for recruiting for Canadian sites.
- Travel amongst MPW/PPS Canadian sites to include 20-30 hotel stays per year or more as required/assigned to build relationships with site managers, determine HR-related needs, arrange recruiting, and review on-boarding activities.
- Communicate any union/contractual issues (at union sites) to the HR Director.

Payroll:

- ADP (payroll) Administrator for Canadian-based employees
- Ensure separations are completed and include removal from all PPS/MPW systems, and ensure Records of Employment are done
- Ensure T-4’s, and Quebec tax information is sent to all employees on time annually

Notable:

- The HR manager should normally be dealing with site supervisors, or site managers on any benefits, payroll, on-boarding, separation issues, not the employee directly
- This position will work with HR team members in the US, while supporting the local management.
- Interface with WSIB to ensure our business description and billing rates are appropriate. See out any employer programs, especially financial incentives available to the business

Customer Service Orientation: Proactively developing customer relationships by making efforts to listen and understand the customer (both internal and external); anticipating and providing solutions to customer needs; giving high priority to customer satisfaction.

**Salary**: $43,414.31-$89,022.32 per year
