**Position Summary**

The Human Resource Generalist runs the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering employee files, and enforcing company policies and practices. He/she will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. The Human Resource Generalist will also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.

**Position main Responsibilities**
- Organize and coordinate recruiting process (create ads, manage on-line postings, schedule interviews, administer assessments, extend offers, prepare new hire contracts).
- Organize and implement the onboarding process for new hires (conduct orientation to the Company, present and explain benefit offerings, and provide employees with a welcoming and inclusive experience).
- Develops employment agreement/contract terms for new hires, promotions, and other job changes.
- Assists managers and employees in the interpretation of HR policies, processes, programs, and employment legislation (mainly for Quebec and Ontario).
- Provides guidance on effective ways of resolving employee relations issues and provides recommendations.
- Facilitate scheduled performance review process (probation period and annual performance reviews), providing guidance for managers and employees.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics.
- Administer employee satisfaction surveys and communicate results.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of files and records.
- Handle termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters.
- Maintain annual bill 90 and Pay equity compliance (collect data and prepare reports for accounting).
- Handle other HR duties, as needed.

**Required Education and Experience**
- BSc/BA in HR, Business administration or relevant field.
- Minimum 2 -3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in IT environment (an asset).
- Significant knowledge of the hiring process.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- Effective working skills with MS 365 and with an HRIS (BambooHR-an asset).

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to confidentially manage HR related information and always demonstrate ethical and professional conduct.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Fully bilingual (written and verbal) in French and English.
