Toronto, Canada The Vintage Conservatory Full time

The Vintage Conservatory is a private club and storage facility for people who collect wine, and like to entertain or do business with bottles from their own collections - so much more personal than choosing off a list at a restaurant. Members enjoy their own private locker in our state-of-the-art climate controlled cellar, beautiful fully appointed private rooms and lounge to properly engage friends and clients with the storied bottles they’ve collected.

We are looking for a driven, passionate and hardworking individual to run the event program between 2 locations.

**Salary based on experience

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of event planning experience in a food & beverage or corporate sector
- Working knowledge of fine dining cuisine, international wines and spirits and proper serving etiquette
- Ability to confidently handle guest complaints or issues that may arise with finesse
- Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a clear command of the English language
- Must be professional, personable and well-presented
- Ability to work flexible hours - weekends and evenings as required
- Must possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to self manage workload
- Ability to manage a budget
- Wine knowledge is an asset, but not necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of an event from pre-planning, determining resource needs, pre-event marketing, and on-site coordination, to post-event follow up
- Communicate directly with the member throughout the event planning process to learn requirements and goals, coordinate vendor specifications, and ensure all parties understand relevant information and details of an event hosted at VC
- Main point of contact for all things event and lounge reservations at both clubs
- Plans logistics and flow of event (member and private)
- Generate supporting docs; quotes, contracts, function sheets, invoices etc
- Communicate with Chef/Management teams to collect custom menus
- Log CRM information for future events
- Order supplies and wine needed for events and ensure items arrive in a timely fashion

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
