- As the Payroll Administrator, you will take pride in delivering accurate and timely pay and supporting a wide array of human resources functions. You will be the central point for all payroll-related tasks, data entry, reports, filing, investigations, reconciliations, and analyses. Your fellow employees will appreciate how you use your friendly attitude and skill with data to answer their questions and resolve concerns.

- **Responsibilities**:
The Payroll & Employee Experience Administrator will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of payroll, benefits, savings plan, staff accommodation, human resources, and related services, including providing various reports, responding to inquiries, calculating payments, and investigating discrepancies.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Prepare, verify, and process all payroll-related payments, including regular pay, benefit premiums, savings plan contributions, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay.
- Support human resources functions and Employee Experience initiatives including onboarding and training, job fairs and recruiting, workplace investigations, data analyses and surveys, service awards, staff events, and employee housing.
- Compile, review, monitor and reconcile reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and employment, and always maintain accurate records with standards appropriate to audits.
- Complete, verify, and process documentation, and ensure employees and supervisors provide properly completed employment forms, such as averaging agreements.
- Prepare filings, reports, and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax forms, Records of Employment, surveys, and other statements.
- Investigate and make recommendations regarding employment policies, legislative requirements, data systems, and team processes.
- Research and resolve system functionality issues, data integrity, payment discrepancies, and employment questions; liaise with third party vendors to resolve service issues.
- Compile, order, and print employee name tags.
- Manage sensitive employee information with the utmost care, ethics, and confidentiality, always adhering to privacy standards and legislation.
- Cross-train designated payroll backup(s) and coordinate vacation and absences with them.
- Complete other duties as directed.

**Preferred experience & qualifications**:

- Proven skill and accuracy with standard math calculations, managing data, and using spreadsheets.
- Effective communicator with ability to read legislation and contracts, listen objectively, and understand employees’ issues.
- Demonstrated discretion with confidential information.
- Able to work independently and assess the amount of time required to successfully complete assigned projects.
- Able to work at a computer for extended lengths of time, sit, reach, stoop, kneel and bend at the waist, lift up to 16 kg (35 lbs), ascend and descend stairs, and perform general office administrative activities like copying, scanning, filing, and using a phone.
- Able to work with tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Able to commute independently to Mount Washington Alpine Resort.
- Eligible to work in Canada.

**For bonus points, these are also assets**:

- Canadian Payroll Association or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of provincial employment standards legislation and related government regulations.
- 2+ years business experience or related post-secondary education, such as payroll, accounting, finance,** **human resources, or business administration.
- Experience with ADP payroll products. The Resort uses _ADP WorkforceNow_ as our payroll and HR platform.
