**The Challenge**:
This position is NOT for just anyone. Fitting into a company of hard-working, super-smart problem solvers who are always on the move is hard. We are looking for a new member of the HSE team who will assist the HSE Manager in achieving safety excellence, including organizing safety meetings and accident reporting deadlines and data entry) to ensure that safety information is stored and retained in the appropriate manner. This can be tough for many people, but for the right person, this challenge is accepted with enthusiasm.

**Whom you are working with**:
You will have an important role in providing safety administrative assistance to all the AFD branches, and the transportation department, however, you will work with every department in AFD on a regular basis, as well as external partners, and of course our customers.

**What you will do day to day**:
Administration
- Maintenance of all HSE records and files in various systems, ADP, Workhub
- Assist with workplace investigation documentation.
- Data entry and Compile reports as requested.
- Through the data entered, generates spreadsheets and metrics demonstrating safety initiative (their progress and/or failure)
- Ensure research on Health and safety topics is completed as per requests

Training
- Responsible for organizing safety orientations, and safety training.
- Book company external training for all employees (outsourcing as required).

Compliance
- Coordinate inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities with departments.
- Complete facility inspections
- Weekly updates in ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.
- Pull a career profile and bring forward concerns.
- Audit hour of Service
- Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Other related duties as required or assigned.

**OTHER KEY SKILLS (or product knowledge)**
- Experience in working with major fuel providers or transport considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and practices
- Professional written and verbal communication skills

**EXPEREINCE**

1+ years’ experience in the field of Health & Safety field

**EDUCATION**

Safety certification training (e.g., OHS Certificate, HSA Designation) an asset.

Post-Secondary Degree in Health & Safety preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
