**Bookkeeper/Office Administrator - Job Description**

**What you will do**:
Providing administrative and bookkeeping assistance, including:

- Greet visitors, ascertain the nature of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incoming telephone and electronic correspondence.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments and meetings.
- Preparing, editing, and proofreading letters and other documentation.
- Assistance preparing our internal work orders.
- Assistance with Shipping logistics
- Organizing and maintaining manual and electronic filing systems
- Bookkeeping entries into QuickBooks
- Invoicing and Accounts receivable
- Purchasing and Accounts payable
- Reconciling accounts
- Preparing trial balance of books
- Posting journal entries
- Calculating amounts and preparing cheques for payroll. Maintain payroll records.
- Compiling and submitting financial statements and documents monthly to our accountant.

- Completion of two-year business administrative with specific training in bookkeeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate workflow.
- Working knowledge and some experience using QUICKBOOKS bookkeeping software. Will provide additional training as needed.
- Your ability to work independently and collaboratively, resolve administrative issues/problems, prioritize workload, and be flexible to meet and adapt to changes in organizational priorities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.65-$27.54 per hour

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
