The Summer Club Lead will be a high energy hands-on experienced individual who enjoys interacting with children, is team focused and values driven and has a willingness to take on new challenges. This individual should feel comfortable addressing groups of people and members, and also able to make decisions under pressure. This seasonal role is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the overall enjoyment and safety of the Osler Summer Club members and guests. Your customer service, and organizational skills combined with your high level of attention to detail will be showcased as you help to provide top notch service and safety supervision. You are a person who is friendly, outgoing and will be able to remain calm and professional in all situations.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Build and maintain relationships with members, guests and staff.
- Lead, mentor and set a good example for staff.
- Working closely with the Administrative Assistant, Programming Development.
- Assist with conflict resolution.
- Work closely with the team to ensure members have a safe environment.
- Open and close the camp area, pool, fitness area, racquet courts when required.
- Act as Pool maintenance staff when required including the opening and closing of the pool.
- Monitor access to the Pool area and the courts.
- Actively listen to members, and guests to identify needs and to find appropriate solutions.
- Model appropriate behaviour and positive interactions with members, guests, and members of the team.
- Responsible for handling minor complaints/concerns and directing these to the appropriate person for resolution.
- Assist Members with use of equipment at the Summer Club.
- Ensure pool, changerooms, washrooms, decking are kept clean, organized, and free of litter or hazards.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records including recording details of incidents or accidents of members or anyone in or around the Summer Club, daily attendance, and swim reports.
- Responsible for enforcing safety rules and guidelines when required.
- Demonstrate emotional maturity, a positive attitude, thoughtfulness, and stability in decision making.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience working customer service and/or hospitality.
- Evidence of sound leadership skills.
- Holding a current Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard and Swim Instructor Certificate would be an asset.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification would be an asset.
- Exceptional commitment to customer service; highly proactive, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to complete projects/tasks.
- Strong team player with an orientation to take initiative. Flexible, adaptive and ability to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
- Ability to work in an environment where unanticipated changes in demands often necessitate a change in priorities.
- Strong judgment, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Possess excellent verbal and written skills.
- Possess professional maturity, sensitivity and impeccable integrity that exemplify the Club’s core values.

**Conditions of Employment**

Must be available:

- June to September
- Required to work holidays between June and September
- Shifts would be 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm Thursday to Sunday
