Facilities Operations Support

**THE OPPORTUNITY**
A unique opportunity to join the dynamic team at the Osler Bluff Ski Club - committed to enhancement of our member and guest experience. Responsibilities of this role focus on supporting day-to-day lodge and facilities operations, troubleshooting, minor repairs and contractor co-ordination. The workload and schedule are based on Club operating and social calendars for each season.
Must be flexible with work hours to accommodate weekends, holidays, early morning starts for snow removal and facility opening routines and evening shifts to support special events and closing routines. Hours of work will be different during the four seasons. This role involves a customer service focus and interactions with Club members, guests, and staff.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Build and maintain relationships with other Club staff.
- Support the planning, implementation and administering of preventative maintenance, inspections, and certification programs for all Club facilities.
- Perform routine facility repair and maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot issues and communicate these to the Facilities and Planning Lead.
- Support facility cleaning staff in the maintenance of cleanliness standards during operational hours and in preparation for special events.
- Participate in preparation of annual budgets for repair and maintenance and consumables.
- Work with the Facilities and Planning Lead to maintain inventory levels of facilities supplies, materials, equipment, parts, and other consumables as required.
- Perform minor repairs such as drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, cleaning, and other projects as required.
- Perform routine inspections, servicing and record keeping for all life safety, fire protection, and HVAC systems.
- Participate in morning facility opening routines like snow removal, sanding, unlocking doors, lighting fireplaces and woodstoves etc.
- Maintain a positive, co-operative and helpful attitude towards members, guests, and other employees.
- Assist with set-up of on-hill special events and transport of materials/equipment, e.g. sound system, tables, chairs, delivery of food/beverages, etc., ensuring appropriate safety policies and procedures are followed.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-Secondary education in relevant disciplines such as Building Science, Facility Management or similar field would be helpful.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in facility operations.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Province of Ontario, Class “G” Driver’s License.
- Working at Heights experience and certification would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of building infrastructure such as HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, fire safety.
- Familiar with all or some of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Canadian Standards Association, Technical Standards Association and Electrical Safety Authority would be an asset.
- Experience with “handy-person” type work.
- Safety oriented to perform all tasks safely in accordance with the health and safety policies.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform physically demanding activities e.g., snow shoveling, furniture moving, up and down stairs, standing for long periods of time.
- Self-driven, proactive, flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability and dependability.
- Possess professional maturity and impeccable integrity.
